Rows of bare trees are reflected on the water surface of the canal water. In the background ie. innumerable clouds in the sky that add some new dimension to that same reflection. I'm looking at a picture of parallel worlds merging on a calm water surface. Surreal and fascinating are the words I would describe this scene.
There is nothing to disturb the peace that reigns around, there is no noise usually created by man, I enjoy the harmony of nature, I look forward to a near perfect moment, I am silent, watching, breathing in the fresh air and I'm very pleased.
Occasionally gloomy days add over the necessary drama and fullness to a landscape that can look much poorer and more empty during a clear day. I stand because I can't sit down because the land is soaked with the last rains that were heavy, I don't mind it. I occasionally crouch in an attempt to capture a better angle for photography.
For a moment I think it would be good to be able to get into the water and from that position, perspective make some photos, but the water is too cold for that experiment, maybe another day I'll get a boat and try to realize my longing.
For a long time, I doubted whether to post only a color photo or black and white, I personally like both, each in its own way.
