Dlive Changing stuff

The new DLive chest gives the streamer the option to open it at his or her discretion, but many are using it as a click bait tool to basically buy followers. If any of you know me, you know I'm all about organic growth so I disagree with such a practice. The bait and switch that dlive pulled on steemit, they just pulled on their entire Lino community. Some like it, some don't, and a few are very upset by the change.

It creates an incredible amount of false hype, where "Chest diggers" are flocking to the channels with a high value chest just for the rewards. Some are just following for the chest, and then unfollowing once the reward comes out. It's creating a cesspool of unimaginable proportion.

Infact, it kind of reminds me of the trending page here on steemit full of bidbot hype and not actual curation. It won't necessarily stop me from streaming to dlive, but I have lost some faith in the platform and the potential of Lino being worth something in the future. Speaking of that, what the heck is a testnet anyways? Most crypto's that are launched gain traction by being added to an exchange. I just don't think LINO will ever be worth more th an 1.2 pennies, will always be on testnet and remain locked, and will never have any value outside of dlive. We'll see...I'll continue to lock my rewards but I have higher hopes for STEEM. I think even DOGE will eventually be worth more than lino.

Here's an example of how I open my chest like my viewers are doggies waiting for a treat:

I should have went to desktop capture so you can see how it works, but I guess I'll try to remember that for next time. Pardon my offensive language at the end. I am practicing on not using such words on stream as I don't want to offend anyone :P

Today's Focus

Gonna chat while I blog about a dream I had last night and if I have time I'll get some ARK going. I wanted to do a live agate hunting stream today since I got the day off but I woke up with a serious crick in my neck/back that makes it difficult to look around and bend over. I promise though, a live agate hunt will happen in the near future.

Updating to windows 10

Tried updating to windows 10 and it wiped my entire steemit drive without any warning, so I'm still on windows 7. Over 5,000 pictures lost to a deleted partition. Still recoverable, I am just not in the mood to deal with that process yet. At least I know the files are still there, but it's certainly frustrating.

As always, it is inevitable that I may get called away from my PC mid-stream for business. I'll usually announce if I am returning, but will need to end the stream quickly when this happens.
