If you have been in the market for computer parts recently you would likely find that many components are way more expensive nowadays.
An image I generated with AI
But why? I call it the Silicon Squeeze, you may be more in the loop if you keeping up with the news, The demand for AI has increased the prices of graphics cards, ram , and storage, even folks like apple that already have a wild markup have increased the prices on their models by 200 $ recently.
I do not think the demand for AI will be coming down even if the market is looking rough and a lot of these AI companies need to generate a whole lot of profit to survive but even if the bubble pops and lots of these companies go out of business AI is not going away.
There is no going back now as there is a whole lot of opensource AI models that have been released, so even if the giants drop out people can deploy AI for personal or business on local hardware much like some companies do their own digital infrastructure hosting.
So even if you are not trying to get into AI you may need to pay a lot more to buy or upgrade your computer, unfortunately it is not looking like things will be getting better anytime soon, it may still be years until the supply and demand find equilibrium, till then it is best to make due with what ya got.
My inleo subs can have something like 1080 version with sounds included made! and much more for only 5 HBD!
