Every time we go through life, we loose a part of ourself that will no longer serve on our next phase of life. I like to look at life as a learning field where everything is actually practical base. Each phase or stage is a classroom we practically have to pass out from onto a higher one. To get promoted you need to put in the work, the muscles, the sweat and the blood.
I one time was listening to Katy’s Album and that was how I accidentally stumbled upon the beauty “PART OF ME”. It is just one of many Katy’s master piece which makes it my all time favorite and it’s standing out because when ever the difficult times come, when I start second guessing myself, I run to my play list, put on my AirPod and play Part of me by Katy Pery on repeat because that song just gives me some sort of vibe and confidence that whatever life brings, there’s that part of me that will always fight to overcome and I will not be loosing myself to life’s roller coaster ride.
A video of Katy’s master piece, hope you have as much inspiration like I did.
Part of me by Katy is my go to therapy which sort of make all my problems disappear whenever I listen to it. That is, it clears my mind, giving me a clearer picture of how to handle whatever it is I am going through. It makes me always want to strive so that I can see the rainbow at the end of the storm while remembering that I am a fighter and like the saying goes, calm sea never make successful sailors.
Katy’s song brings us to some important questions I feel we should always ask ourselves for self awareness. Questions such as what happens when your plans, goals, dreams, aspiration and ambition fails? Do you give up? What happens if your relationship falls apart and your partner is no longer faithful or loyal? Does a part of you die? Do you loose a part of yourself? Because you’ve built your life around this person whose leaving you with no choice but to walk away from the life you’ve become accustomed to? What happens when you are falling from grace because you encountered failure? do you fall face down which makes getting up near impossible?
Challenges are inevitable and everyone has them, each and every one of us is dealing with one form of challenge or the other. Now! Let’s streamline those questions into three part for self assessment and improvement. Does life challenges take away a part of you? Does it break your soul? Do you loose yourself? Let me be more detailed in elaborating all three questions.
Point is, each challenges we face, each rejection, each failure we experience is a stepping stone towards self improvement and development, but the thing is we often don’t realize this because we are too caught up in the pain to foresee the blessings that abound.
Most often than not, we want to feel unfortunate and play the victim, which makes us miss out on the turning point where we need to learn and make better decisions to aid us in ending that phase.
Fact is, for every life situation we fail to learn from, we will be faced with repetition of the same experiences in a different dimension.
Katy from her video showed us that when a chapter ends, another begins, a time to broaden our horizons and open our eyes to see the next step. Katy had her heart broken when she saw her man in a compromising position, she didn’t coil in a corner crying her eyes out, wasting all that energy from emotional trauma. No! She joined the marine and moved on.
I hope we all gather the courage to overcome whatever it is we are going through.
Thank you for reading.
