Christmas has finally arrived near my house and as I had promised to participate in the community with a Christmas-themed post, I ended up inviting my sister @quiubi who is also fully committed to Worldmappin. In this post I want to show you several decorations that are typical in Portugal and some traditions that you probably don't know, like celebrating with a cup of "Ginja". The beauty of Seixal🚩🎊/La belleza de Seixal🌍🎄
Seixal is one of the towns in the Lisbon area known for being next to the bay and it is where I live, a quiet area with beautiful landscapes and ideal for recreational activities such as: kayaking, fishing, cycling, hiking among others. Since the Christmas party is in the historic center where the city was born and which was for hundreds of years a fishing place, I took advantage of taking several photos of the river now that the sun is setting.🎊🎁
Seixal es una de las ciudades de la zona de Lisboa conocida por estar al lado de la bahia y es el lugar donde vivo, una zona tranquila con hermosos paisajes e ideal para hacer actividades recreativas como: Kayak, Pesca, Ciclismo, Senderismo entre otras. Ya que la fiesta navidena es en el casco historico donde nacio la ciudad y la cual fue por cientos de anos un lugar pesquero aproveche en tirar varias fotos del rio ahora que el sol se oculta.🎀
When I was close to the city centre we started to see the Christmas decorations. I saw that this year the city council spent a lot of money to invest a little in Christmas tourism, which is quite popular in these areas along with the centre of Setubal.🎊🎄
Cuando estoy ya cerca del centro de la ciudad comenzamos a ver las decoraciones de navidad, vi que este ano la camara municipal gasto bastante dinero para invertir un poco en el turismo navideno el cual es bastante popular en estas zonas junto con el centro de Setubal.🌍🌄

And we arrived at the village of Natal, which is what the Seixal Christmas festival is called. We have several stalls selling different handicrafts to take home as a beautiful souvenir and contribute to the local economy. We can also go ice skating, ride the Ferris wheel or simply have dinner with some Portuguese dishes.🎊🎀
Y llegamos a la aldea de natal asi se llama la fiesta de navidad de Seixal, tenemos desde varios puestos que venden diferentes cosas artesanales para llevarnos un hermoso Souvenir y contribuir con la economia local, asi como tambien podemos patinar sobre hielo, subirnos en la rueda gigante o simplemente cenar algun plato portugues.🎁🏰

The main and biggest attraction in the village of Natal is this giant tree decorated with white, red and purple lights, you can go inside and take some pretty fun photos with your family.🎁🎀
La principal atraccion y mas grande de la aldea de natal es este arbol gigante decorada con luces blancas, rojas y moradas, puedes entrar y tirarte algunas fotos bastante divertidas con tu familia.📸
Ultimately, what I like most about Christmas is being able to share time with my closest friends and my sister. We are all so far away that it is difficult for us to share moments like these, and of course, for me they are the most precious moments of my life!🏰🎊
En el fondo lo que mas me gusta de navidad es poder compartir con mis amigos mas intimos y mi hermana, estamos todos tan lejos que dificilemente podemos compartir momentos como estos y claro para mi son los mas apreciados de mi vida!😍

This is a Portuguese tradition that originated in the north of the country in the walled city of Obidos that you once saw me post on hive, it is "ginja" a cherry liqueur that is taken in a chocolate glass like a "shot" that is drunk in one gulp and that is usually toasted by shouting cheers!🍷🎁
Esta es una tradicion Portuguesa que se origino del norte del pais en la ciudad amurallada de Obidos que alguna vez ya me viste postear en hive, es "ginja" un licor con cereza que se toma en un vaso de chocolate como un "shot" que se bebe de un solo trago y que se acostumbra a brindar gritando salud!🎄🍷
For five euros per person you have the opportunity to ride the Ferris wheel and of course I would do it, my friend @quiubi and my friend's wife accompanied me, the view up here is fantastic and we can even see Lisbon in the distance and its bridge🎄😍
Por cinco euros por persona tienes la oportunidad de subirte en la rueda gigante y claro que lo haria, me acompano mi amiga @quiubi y la esposa de mi amigo, la vista aqui arriba es fantastica y podemos e incluso ver Lisboa a lo lejos y su puente🎡🎢

We took the opportunity to visit the Miyagi restaurant for the first time, a very expensive and famous place in Seixal, being the most sought after. Clearly we could not pass up the opportunity to make a toast with SAKE.🍷
Aprovechamos en visitar por primera vez el miyagi restaurante un local muy costoso y famoso en Seixal siendo el mas buscado, claramente no podiamos dejar pasar la oportunidad de hacer un brindis con SAKE🍺🍻

Among the things we did was get on the train and tour the village for free, we also paid to go around the ice rink in inflatable cars that crashed into each other hahaha it was a super fun night!
Entre las cosas que hicimos fue subirnos en el tren y recorrer la aldea de forma gratuita, ademas tambien pagamos para dar unas vueltas en la pista de hielo en unos carros inflables que chocaban entre si jejeje fue super divertida la noche!
