It's a beautiful and great day out here and I'm having a lovely time with my sewing project and I'm sure you are having a great time with your respective endeavors as well, I wish you well and a positive outcome with whatever you lay your hands to do. It is with great pleasure that I will be sharing with you the making of a big fabric bow made from scrap fabric to design my black turban cap for a beautiful and stylish outcome.
Sometimes ago, I made a black turban cap to fit most of my outfit and it was so nice and beautiful, sie then, I have been using this black turban cap with most of my outfit but recently in church, we were told to put on a black cap on a black outfit with a touch of flower design on the cap for an event, so I thought of making this bow on my cap.
To start , i measured and cut out 10 x 7" from my left over flower fabric
The fabric was folded in two and I sew on the tip leaving an opening at the middle
The seam line was placed at the middle and I sew on both sides
I cut out 2 pieces of crinoline measuring 6" each and it was sewn together
The fabric was turned to the right side through the opening at the middle and the crinoline was inserted in it through the opening to make the bow firm
It was folded together and tightly secured at the middle with a matching color thread
To cover the middle where i secured it with thread, I cut out 3 x 4" of fabric, it was folded together and sewn on both sides
The small piece was used to cover the middle and sewn together, finally, my bow is ready.
With my already made turban cap, I used my hand needle and thread to fix the big bow on the right side of the cap
This is the final and beautiful outcome of my decorated turban cap with a big fabric bow.
I so much love the final outcome as it looks so beautiful on me with my black outfit
I tried it out on another outfit and it looks so nice as well.
This little touch makes a big difference on my outfit, you can try this out as well and I'm sure you will like the beautiful outcome.
