Hello everyone
Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, it is another great day for me to share with you one of my recent creative design made from scrap fabric, I have been making a lot of iems lately from my scrap fabric and today I will making a simple and unique items of a sprinkled donut felt food toy for babies.
There are lot of items you can get for your babies as toy, but as a seamstress, I prefer to try out some of these items using fabrics since that is what I know how to do best, and on the other hand, these felt food toys are very soft and durable for children to play with compared to the plastic ones out there sold in stores
First was to fold my fabric and draft out a circle shape with the diameter of 8 inches
At the tip of the circle, I measured and cut out 1.5 inches for the opening at the center
It was placed on a brown fabric to cut out same shape as the lining for the other side
I used one of the circle shape to cut out a warden and it was ironed on the cream color fabric
Using my hand needle and thread, I used pink, yellow and blue thread to create the sprinkles on the fabric as seen below
The other circle shape was placed on the main circle with sprinkles and it was sewn round at the middle
I was turned to the right side then I used my hand needle and thread to sew the edges round leaving an opening from where I stuff in some fiber to make it swell like a donut
The opening was sewn together and this is the final outcome
This is the other side of my sprinkled donut felt food toy I made using fabric for babies.
Little babies can play with this as a toy, it is easy and simple to make, soft and durable as well.
