Greetings to you all in this community on this beautiful day, it is so nice to be here today to share with you how I was able to make this beautiful scarf designed with a shining trimmings and white bias tape for my personal use, I'm sure after reading through my post, you will also want to try it out because it's very easy, simple and beautiful to achieve in less then 30min.
Sometimes ago, I was contacted to make a simple wedding outfit for a friend and I was told the bride is pregnant, so we concluded on making a flare gown with beautiful lace upper bodice which I did and the outcome was so nice, while making the flare for the lower part of the gown, I cut out a small piece at the top to get the waistline circumference, the pieces were set aside and kept in bag where I usually kept my left over pieces.The outfit was completed and delivered.
Recently, I needed a white scarf for myself for the purpose of church, and I found out i didn't have a white scarf, fortunately for me, I found this piece I had kept for a long time and I decided to use it as it fits perfectly.
I brought out the piece just the way it was, I folded it in two and did a little trimming just to make it look nice
I cut out a silver lace trimmings which was like enough to be sewn on the longest side of the fabric
It was taken to the sewing machine where I sew the lace trimmings to the fabric
On the other side of the fabric, I used my white bias tape to hem both sides for neat finishing as well
This is how my beautiful scarf looks with a simple design on it.
I tried it on and it looks so beautiful and perfect just the way I want it.
There's a lot you can do with your left over pieces of fabric by giving them a second chance instead of disposing them. With this few steps, I'm sure you can try it out on your own.
Now I have my beautiful white scarf for myself without spending any money.
