Running a business is definitely not a child’s play but regardless of how uneasy it is, a good number of entrepreneurs are coming up every day regardless of how uneasy it is. It is convenient for people to have a business idea, jump right into creating business goals that would result in the success of the business, taking steps to start the business and eventually kick off, but one thing that a lot of people fail to consider is the need to have a second plan while plotting a business.

Some people who are spiritual would not even want to think about the direction of having any bad occurrence during the process of running the business, but it is something to seriously consider. It is important to consider the possibility of something going wrong while handling the business.

In my last post, I shared the story of my friend who lost a huge amount of money to some people she trusted to handle her business in her absence, of course, she was wrong, because she ignored the importance of proper monitoring, the only thing that saved her was the plan B she had when she started the business, someone had advised her to save some extra money aside, this money was planned to help her save her business in case anything goes wrong in the process.
Immediately she realized that the business was a shadow of itself when she got back from her trip, she first laid off her old staff, then she re-stocked the business with the money she had kept as a reserve and as a plan B, now, even if she still has an employee, she makes sure she resumes to her business place every morning and close in the evening. Even when she has a place to be, she ensures that she takes proper record keeping whenever she gets back.

Her business would have suffered a great deal or possibly shut down if she did not have a plan B to help her sustain her business. A lot of motivational business advisors advise small business owners on the need to have a business plan, have adequate capital, etc. but not a lot of business owners are advised to get a plan B for their business, which is also a very important step to note.

Setting up a plan B for a business owner would save the business owner from;
• A sudden business crash.
• Emotional breakdown.
• Deeping into family funds.

Conclusion.

Having a plan B is not often mentioned to new business owners but it is extremely important to have one, as the business is saved from unpredictable downtimes. Thank you so much for reading, I appreciate your support and comment.
