At first, Jerry seemed scared of Sam and wanted nothing to do with him. But, over time, Sam showed Jerry that he was kind and gentle, and Jerry started to become more comfortable with Sam. Soon enough, they were best friends!
Jerry and Sam would go on all sorts of adventures together. They would go fishing in the river, go for walks in the woods, and even catch bugs in the garden. Jerry was so happy to have a friend that he didn't even try to eat people anymore. Everyone in the town was so relieved!
The people of the town started to accept Jerry and even welcomed him with open arms. They even threw him a big party to celebrate his newfound friendship with Sam. Jerry was so happy that he even let the townsfolk pet him and feed him some of their favorite treats.
Jerry and Sam remained best friends for the rest of their lives. Every day, they would go on new adventures and have lots of fun. Jerry was even known to go around the town and tell everyone he was happy and that he loved them all.
The people of the town were so grateful that they made Jerry an honorary citizen, and even gave him a special plaque to commemorate his friendship with Sam. Jerry was so proud to be a part of the town, and he was so happy that he could finally be accepted by the people.
And so, Jerry lived a long, happy life with his best friend, Sam. He never forgot the kindness that the people of the town showed him, and he will always be remembered as a gentle giant.
