Duvel Triple Hop (Citra Hop)

Brewery: Duvel Moortgat

Whenever I'm in Belgium, I always try to bring a nice collection of Belgian beers back to Germany with me (sorry Germany.... but Belgian beers are far superior in my opinion). One of my favourites is the hugely popular Duvel, and the relatively new addition to their permanent lineup is this wonderful triple hop. The additional hop (to the usual 2 hops) is the citra hop, and I really am a huge fan of this beer. It's very easy to drink, which can be dangerous due to the 9.5% alcohol volume!

If you wish to learn more about it, then there's a dedicated Duvel Triple Hop website here:

When poured into the Duvel glass, the head was smaller than a regular Duvel provides, but the beer has a sumptuous hazy yellow colouring. The aroma is crisp with citrus hops, and the taste matches the aroma plus slightly yeasty and bitter.
