Taskent (Pirlerkondu) Erenler Fountain⛲🪨Taşkent (Pirlerkondu) Erenler Çeşmesi
Hello everyone, friends. I state in my articles that I love to travel, travel and see. I like to share with you the short tours we take on our travels and the different places I see. Today I will introduce you to a very stony, rocky town. This is Tashkent. It is a small town of Konya, adjacent to the provinces of Karaman and Antalya. If our route will be through Central Anatolia during our visits to my wife's hometown, we pass through this district. However, we did not stop here a couple of times as it coincided with an overnight trip and once we had to go very urgently. After doing some shopping in Tashkent on our last trip, I wanted to relax and explore the surroundings. It's a pretty scary town from the outside. It is a city worthy of its name, built right in the middle of huge cliffs and cliffs. I think it takes some courage to live here. 🙂
In front of the fountain there was a very nice informative story telling the history of this environment and its fountains. I would like to summarize briefly for those who find it difficult to read from the photos. The two sultans, who are the leaders of two different societies, set out with an agreement. One of the gentlemen set out early to become cunning and gain more territory. After traveling a long way, he took a break in Pirlerkondu (Tashkent) region for both himself and his horse. When he saw a beautiful girl by the fountain, he was impressed by her hospitality, beauty and intelligence. After revealing his identity, he asked the beautiful girl who offered him cold water if he had a wish. The girl asked for the tax to be reduced because the tax was too high for the fabrics they produced. The Sultan replied to the girl's request with these words: "Let your pines not dry out, your beauty not get old, your water not get cold, your clothes not be taxed."
As if the sultan's will has come true, the waters are flowing very violently here. According to my husband, these waters flow here in summer and winter. Here we took a break and watched the mountain slopes. There was a little wind blowing and it was cold as it was a high place. I think it's pretty cool here, even in summer, thanks to the winds. We filled our bottles with water at the Erenler Fountain. In fact, if I didn't get tired, I would like to watch the surroundings from Erenler Promenade, which passes over the fountain. However, when you look at it, I think it is quite risky to visit these places. It looks like a piece of rock will fall at any moment. If you happen to be on your way, it's better to be careful, but there are also beauties worth seeing.
