Deosai National Park is located between Astore and Skurdu, majority area of this park falls in Skurdu district. The meaning of Deosai is THE LAND OF GIANTS. The average elevation of this park is 13,497 feet above sea level, making the deosai plains is one of the highest plateaus in the world. The park protects an area of 3000 Square Kilometers.
