I started this post yesterday with a different idea but i just read Theycallmedan post (click to check it out ) so 100% from rewards of this post goes to Jauregui98
I start this post with the most important thing in community work. Food and drinks of course, well and good time with friends.
For over a year now the whole world is affected. Some of us were unfortunate to be affected by the virus but all of us felt the effect of isolation, quarantines, lockdowns... even the introverts are thinking that it is enough :)
A lot of the industries were hit hard but restaurants, cafes, bars, musicians and other public performers were hit hard. When you also live in a place where country budget for culture is 0.8% and you live in the a small town where no institutions care about art, the situation is not pretty.
At the moment in Serbia you can be vaccinated with 4 different vaccines (we take it all, USA, UK, Russia, China we don't care) and 30% of the people got the first dose. Numbers of new infected are still not really low but the government started talking about some reopening's first limited to garden cafes.
Underground Music Caffe is an nonprofit opened with the idea of trying to give people that are into music and other arts a place to hang out. Anyone who is following my blogs has seen at least part of the things organized there. Some things are organized from writing projects and getting money from institutions but everyday work and a lot of projects are financed from the club working as a bar. And we all know what happened to bars the last year.
After not working for a year and with announcements of reopening and nice spring weather the small community cleaning was organized. When you had no one using the place for 5-6 months, there was a good amount of cleaning needed.
As one of my friends said few months ago "i will play anything just to be able to play in front of the crowd" :) i hope we will be able to hear some live music with crowds soon.
