Greetings sketchbook artist and Hivers.
This drawing was inspired by the idea that people often hide parts of themselves from the world. The covered face represents the side of us we choose not to show; our fears, struggles, insecurities or even parts of our identity we are still trying to understand.
Yet, the visible part of the face reminds us that there is always something worth expressing.
I wanted the drawing to show that what we hide can still tell a story. Sometimes, art gives us a way to explore those hidden parts without having to explain them with words. The use of simple lines and hatching helped me build the mood and character of the piece.
