That is one of maybe 10 he owns. His dad's first 'big' truck, a 1947 Federal has a place in his driveway. It is entirely restored without the paint. I'll include a picture of it in the next post.
Hal, my brother in law's pickup is a Dodge Cabover A100 with a serious 383 in it. Painted Plum Crazy. How could I not remember it? It's one of a kind.
There is a common thread to this and other family vehicles. Jason, Hal and Julie's oldest. He worked for Larry in the shop but had an obvious gift for restoration and renovation. He did the Autocar, and the Federal, and Mom's '56 Dodge and the list goes on. He now has his own shop where he does 'normal mechanics' and the restorations. His personal car is a '32 Dodge coupe with a stroked 383. BTW the Autocar is stuffed with a '98 Peterbuilt. Jason even managed to cut the dash out and transplant. It's just an incredible piece.
So, yeah. Gearheads seem to run in this family.
