Well, you don't use a screwdriver to drive a nail. I'm a serious believer in the right tool for the task.

With a pistol I seriously believe in the second shot. I want to be very close with the first shot but want the second to be 10 ring. With a rifle it's all first shot-fact of the matter is, when hunting deer or elk, there is no second shot. Get it right the first time.

With a shotgun it's a series of first shots. I've gotten a few doubles on ducks and I have seen a couple of triples.

I have a lady friend that is just nasty with a .22winmag pistol. I certainly wouldn't want to be caught creeping around her place. For me, the big calibers are giving the shooter 'miss room'. I had a .44 Mag in my young days. I got over that pretty early :)

I have always been comfortable in boots. The best of them have been custom built and I wore them all day every day. These boots are the closest I've had to the customs, and made for the desert. The right tool for the job, it seems.
