There are some places that are extraordinary in my mind. I've been to hundreds.

The Tomb of the Unknown at Arlington Virginia (Right across the river from Washington DC. Robert E Lee's former plantation). There are Embassy grade troops guarding the place 24/7. It's probably the ultimate in the US. 4 walk the tomb itself and there is a guard change every hour. Rain, shine, snow, hurricane. They walk.

Gettysburg National Monument and Cemetery. 50,000 casualties with 7000 dead. All Americans from both sides. There are spirits there, no doubt in my mind.

Greasy Grass. The Sioux name for Little Big Horn. Custer's troops were slaughtered, but it was the natives that ended up paying the ultimate price. A sad place.
