RE: Stacking wood, gardening, foraging and nature stuff!
Well, Good for you! At my age, I'm really glad it's you not me-but that doesn't mean I'm not jealous. Seriously jealous. I'll hope for lots of reports from the 'frontier'. I don't know with all of it,

Nope-my Goldwing was made in Maryville, Ohio (it's an '04). Yeah. The local 'truck' scene took a hit during covid but they seem to be back now. That's where real burros come from...

Hey ya! Good to see you. Did you know I am rumbling a six cylinder pancake Honda? Yep. I'm old enough to own a Goldwing. I just love it.

I don't think there is a true stasis point for humans. I believe it's one of those things that you pursue-or not. Like, for instance, just when you think you have achieved perfect balance in your life

Well, of course I wish to be better. Don't I? At some point I think I dig too deeply into the morass that is me. It's a fine line for me, that introspection line. I need to know, I need to assess, I need

RE: Tuzigoot-A Great Archeological Site
There are mysterious and wonderful ruins all over this part of the world. Canyon de Chelly (pronounced de Shay) and Chaco Canyon are both Navajo sites and really need to be seen to be believed. Next up

There is no doubt that my 'low covid profile' was good for society as a whole :) There were (and continue to be) missed meetings-particularly those with underlying conditions. There have also been some

I DO wonder about it from time to time. Is the next sentient species already here? Will humans have to disappear completely for the rise of what ever is next? Humans are really persistent. Can and will

Strange and mysterious is a great way to describe Tuzigoot. It seems really improbable to me that they just decided to leave-was food production so low that they couldn't sustain the population? Were they

Well, since I am RFH (retired from home) it's somewhat different for me. I tend to be a bit of a loner anyway so not having to deal with people has probably been a net positive for me :) Seriously: I go

The good news for you? There are just astounding sites all over the South West, so you won't have to travel all that distance just for one 😄 I'm with you. I'm just fascinated by history and trying to

Victor! Good to see you. The site feels like it was built according to a plan, but it was built over a period of 400 years. That's a LONG time to hold to a plan. But the design and execution were very

RE: Tuzigoot-A Great Archeological Site
Hey ya Becca! Nice to see you. I wonder the very same things. Are we doomed to 'move on' and be mostly forgotten and unknown? I'd say that would be a really good possibility. I'd hope there would be enough

These people lived pretty well, considering the time. There are more 'corn grinders' recovered here than there were people in residence. They had a well organized society. Farmers, hunters, administrators.

You really are a good fiction writer, you know. I know this because I am a good fiction reader. I read a lot of fiction. I use fiction (which I tend to call fluff) to occupy the front of my brain while
