There are several rubbish said about Christians. Many turn to insult believers and many believers as well also live a kind of life which they are not please with. There may be many factors which contribute to this shameful behaviors they put up or insults and one unavoidable factor is the things they allow to invade their hearts.
The heart is a very vital part of the human internal system. We cannot neglect the heart in our walk with God. We even became believers by believing the Lord Jesus with our hearts and it presupposes that the condition of our hearts determines the extent of our fellowship with God. The heart is mostly referred to the inner man in the bible which connotes that anything that affect our hearts affects our spirit which is the inner man. So with this a father gave advice to a son in the book of proverbs saying; " Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life". Proverbs 4:23
This is a very powerful advice God through the Holy Spirit is given to us his children. He said you should keep your heart with all carefulness and understanding. To keep here means to guard or watch, you should not allow any negative thing to enter your heart. Watch the things you hear and watch with your eyes. Out of your heart flows issues of life so if the condition is good then your life is good. The bible says, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Fill your heart with the word of God daily and let it shows you who you are and how you ought to behave.
If we are able to guard and keep our hearts from all impurities we will live the kind of life God expects us to live
