On my last
@wednesdaywalk i was still on paradise island in Koh Samui , Thailand and i mention that my boss had asked me to come back to Bangkok city as he had some work i could continue with by spending a little time at the office and but mostly working from home which i didn't mind after been on this beautiful island for a month i didn't mind coming back otherwise i would of quite easily gotten use to this life on the island and never had wanted to come back to the big smoke.
I was really surprised to see the city so deserted it wasn't this quite when i left the city a month ago. Main highways , train stations all ghost towns.
Today i had a day to myself so , i decided to take advantage of it and go for a walk needed to stretch my legs after been on the island and walking everyday for a month , i was getting a bit edgy to get out of my room.
I have seen Bangkok city when it is full of life with energetically vibes but what i was seeing in reality was quite scary a sole vendor on a once crowded busy street was had to imagine but i was seeing this i did have to rub my eyes a couple of times to take it in.
I never in my life thought i would see this day and i am very surprised that the Thai people with a population of 65 million in Thailand are actually doing as their told even though we are not on lock down but have been asked to stay indoors we can still wonder the streets as long as your wearing that mask.
The major postal exchange in Bangkok city very nice building.
The poor street vendors all closed down so sad to see this it's one of the reasons tourist come to Thailand for the great street foods.
But let me tell you the real reason , i wanted to get out for a walk today , i had heard about this particular street by the river called Soi 32 that has some amazing graffiti art work along this street and me been a graffiti art fan , i just had to come and check it out.
Walking in Soi 32 , i could see all this graffiti art work from a distance i was getting all excited and sweating heavily under my mask.
Getting more close up i could see this was some fine art work many hours had gone into creating these masterpieces , i really appreciate when graffiti work is done in a way to tell a story or resemble something.
Some of the graffiti names of the artist seen here are known around the world like the Alex Face he is everywhere with this signature face.
And the beauty of this graffiti art work just gets better as i am moving down this Soi 32 , i am so happy Google found this place for me 馃槉
My favorite one is this one that relates to our world at the present moment keep a eye on our close ones show them love and pray that this pandemic is over soon 馃檹 馃檹
So it was time to make my walk home , i didn't want to be getting home to late we do have a curfew over here everyone must be indoors by 10 pm till 4 am morning.
Walking down one of the most bustiest roads on any day of the week was just amazing to see i even when and stood in the middle of the road to take this shot now that is a incredible story to tell my future Grandkids..lol 馃槉
Onto the Skytrain and home , i go at the station the guards were practicing social distancing don't know why there is no one at the station nor is there any traffic on the road and this was just after 7.30 pm where you would normally be bumper to bumper on the station and on the road but not today.
Well i hope you enjoyed walking with me. Stay safe and healthy people and take care of each other 鉂わ笍 鉂わ笍
