We first did this beautiful route when my son was 4 years old and we came back every about 6 months to repeat.
we haven´t been back since restrictions started and today we finally did.
The route faces directly to the East and we have a tradition of starting our climb right when the sun rises (getting up very early...)
it was a sad surprise to see that the whole area was recently burned down. we used to hike to and from the route in the shade of Pine trees. all that was left of most are now black trunks.
at the same time, it was amazing to see the force with which nature is now coming back and the amazing amount of wild flowers that are everywhere along the short hike.

the view is as breathtaking as ever and the sound of the church bells from the village below always remind me of the ice cream van of my childhood.
this, more then anything else is a photographic report to show both the beauty of the area and the resilience of nature after a devastating forest fire.
