It walks like spring and it looks like spring. spring is here.
not as decisive and fast as it did last year, but it is slowly making main stage.
we had lots of rain, which is normal, and very necessary.
overall temperatures, mainly night time, are higher.
and due to the overcast skies, less frosts.
I have been out doing Olive pruning the last three days, and my bones are grateful for today´s rest.
more rain coming our way, so we will have to improvise and adapt, as we do, to see what´s next.
rains affect most jobs as most what I do is outdoors, either pruning or carpentry. and even our local markets.
roof tiles
a few years back I restored the original roof on this stone house and ever since had a huge amount of the old tiles lying around in piles here and there.
I was in the long process of sorting them, separating broken ones from the good ones and stacking them nicely against the wall.
while sorting the piles, I realized they are a habitat to Scorpions 🦂, Centipedes and baby Salamanders. they just all love the tight space between one tile and the next and thrive there.
so I decided to leave an intentional space for them.
all broken tiles went into an old abandoned well that was never finished. the rest was either stacked against the wall or were used for bamboo hedging.
so a couple of our bamboo plants were upgraded with an ornamental frame around them.
thank you for stopping by 🙏
wishing us all a peaceful Thursday
