Laundry day

Hello beautiful community. Today , Saturday is Laundry day in my house and due to the scarcity of water we do major laundry on days like this. We wash everyone's clothes all together in different bowls designated for washing and rinsing then spread on a line where the sun is hot enough or a big dryer.
Process;
First we gather everything outside the house for washing

Then we separate by colors for washing, the first bowl is where we put the clothes and add detergent in for washing ,

Powder detergent are more common in countries like ours because it lathers easy and makes the washing process faster

Next we rinse in another bowl with lots of water

After rinsing we squeeze everything out ready to be spread on the lines to dry under the sun and when it is all dried we pack them in for ironing and keeping in the wardrobes. A big advantage of spreading clothes out in the sun is the fact that it takes cares of the gems. It also helps to keep white clothes even whiter

That's my usual routine and the normal routine of homes in my country, those who can afford a washing machine make use of it but we that can't do most of the washing by hand. But when we compare the results, clothes washed by hands tend to retain quality and color compared to those washed in the machine.
