Hello beautiful ladies of hive,

happy weekend and I hope you enjoyed it. Yesterday I was able to make my hair for the new week and I thought how about I share this experience with the beautiful ladies of hive.
As a Nigerian, offcourse our hair is very different from that of the western world. It is thicker, dense and just different. It doesn't rise and fall when we sleep, it usually just coils up like a string.

But then that's the beauty of the hair, that's what gives us those beautiful afros you see black people carrying.

I called this post beautiful of an icon because I am an icon, we all are icons and we need to learn to embrace that.

Now a black woman's hair coils and that's the reason it just stays up instead of falling like the hair of some of my Friends on the page. For some of us we relax the coils to make it easier to make different hairstyles other than afros. We use chemicals called relaxers and when our hair is relaxed, it becomes straighter and takes longer time to recoil. Then we can make different hairstyles to our liking.

That's why a black woman takes on a new beauty each week.
This week I wanted to go both natural and relaxed , my hair is already relaxed but I wanted it to look more like it was natural.
Then I opted for a twist that looks so much like twist made with natural hair( hair that isn't relaxed).

This is what I am going for

To make the hair I need ;
A packet or two of twist weaveon
Combs
A crochet pin
A pair of scissors and my hair 😊

To make this hair, they need to braid my hair naturally then crochet the weaveon into it

In the image above you can see how different my hair is from the ones that the weaveon has been crocheted into

Then this goes on until the entire hair is made up

This hair took 6-7 hours and it was worth it because it came out beautifully and as natural as I wanted it to.

Don't I look all beautiful and natural, most people even mistake it for my hair😊
