Summertime sunny day weekend got nothing to do suddenly made a plan to visit Swyambunath also known as monkey temple with my friends. After a disastrous earthquake in Nepal thought the place would have been heavily damaged and construction work is going on. But what I saw was amazing than before.

Discover peace and petitions on the little hillock of Swaymbhunath in the northwest of the Kathmandu Valley. The "Monkey Temple" among guests from abroad, Swayambhunath sits on its slope, sitting above most parts of the valley. This is a decent place to get all-encompassing perspectives of the city. The site itself has remained as a sign of hallmark of faith and peace for a considerable length of time. The greatness of Kathmandu Valley is said to have begun starting here.

Legend has it that Monkey temple was conceived out of a lotus flower that sprouted amidst a lake that once spread over the Kathmandu Valley. The biggest picture of the Sakyamuni Buddha in Nepal sits on a platform on the western limit of Swayambhu. Behind the ridge is a sanctuary devoted to Manjusri or Saraswati - the Goddess of learning. Chaityas, statues and places of worship of Buddhist and Hindu divinities fill the stupa complex. The base of the slope is as a rule encompassed by petition wheels that were as of late introduced. Lovers can be seen circumambulating the stupa constantly.
