While planting mint next to my house one afternoon, I noticed this little creature,
right alongside this one.
Clearly they are the same species of grasshopper, yet one is albino. Lack of pigment occurs in many species throughout nature, but creatures without pigment are not the norm in the natural realm. In fact, they are quite rare. To glimpse an example of this unique trait in the wild is an experience not many share. Nature perfectly illustrates in these little creatures that tiny surprises and beautiful gifts can be found where you least expect them.
I am grateful to find a place with rich soil to grow a community. May we take root, and flourish together.
