Everyone starts with 25 and grows gradually over time.
As your reputation goes up so does going higher gets harder.
It's easier to move from 25 to 50 than to move from 50 to 60.
It is also easier to move from 50 to 60 than to move from 60nto 65
A high reputation means the user has been consistently producing rewarding content.
This implies that financial rewards and reputation are directly proportional.
When I initially started my journey on hive, I asked my friend who was a top hiver how I could earn more and he told me one thing and that was
"Engage with people whose reputation are above 65"
Of course, I engaged with those people and got a lot of benefits from doing that.
I got support from @tenkminnows for up to a year.
I met hivers like @josediccus,
@tarazkp,
@trumpman,
@nathanmars and
@gandhibaba through this way.
What is the importance of reputation as a river?
There are a lot of benefits of engaging with people with a higher reputation.
I will be highlighting a few of them and they include;
When you engage with people who have reputation scores higher than 65, you will notice a lot of peculiarities in their blog posts.
Take @josediccus for example, his write-ups show a lot of originality, same for
@tarazkp.
You will also notice that their posts are well-formatted.
You will probably notice how seamless it is to read their post.
Even @trumpman who prides himself to be a shit poster posts a lot of good financial advice just in a comic way.
When you look up @tarazkp or
@taskmaster4450, you will notice that the comment section are full of people with very high reputation.
If you engage with those people, you will discover that your growth will be much faster than those posting and engaging without a strategy.
Something about people with high reputation scores is their hive power.
80% of the time when you see someone with a reputation of 70 and above, the person who has a hive power that can add a few cents if not more to your post.
Most times when you engage with people on their post, they tend to want to support you if you consistently make reasonable comments.
Also when you try to have a relationship with them ( I mean genuine relationships), you most times get support.
For example,e @tarazkp is one person who upvotes every single time you make a reasonable comment on his pot.
@meesterboom also upvotes those that relate with his post too. Churchy people might not relate but that's fine.
I have met a lot of people who have gotten jobs on the hive blockchain just by engaging with these people.
I discovered that most of the guys that give jobs on the hive blockchain have a reputation of 65 and above.
Note these jobs are rewarding if you come from a country like Nigeria.
So that's it for this post I hope you learnt something
.
