Part 2/2 :
"After our second child was born and they both grew up a bit we thought it would be nice if they could grow up in a Muslim community and thus escape the negative temptations of the Western world, like alcohol, drugs and other things. So we decided to leave our comfortable life and meet the adventure. Thanks be to Allah for letting us find a lovely Berber village in the middle of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. People here were so welcoming and friendly that they made us feel at home. They accepted us as the members of their families and the whole community instantly became ours as well. Now we've been present in the life of the village for nearly a year, experiencing joyful happenings like the births of new babies, weddings and sad moments like death and lillness. We love to live in a small community, where people know each other, they feel for each other and care for each other. They are still connected with Allah and people around. They are also connected to the Earth, to the nature in all it's seasons. They care for their little fields and their cattle. All food they eat comes from their toil. Nearly all the vegetables, fresh milk and precious butter comes from their small family farms. We, city people, can really learn a lot here about a real life. These rural communities have no computers with internet connections, no tablets or smart phones. But they have the wisdom of the simple life. Most people of the 'civilised Western world' have forgotten the beauty of real, cyber-free life and real values that matter. Most people of the village are financially poor, many of them uneducated, they cannot read and write, they have never learned math, they don't own big houses, cars or other material things. But we should envy them, for they have the real treasure of this world and the hereafter. Love of Allah, love of brothers and sisters in Islam and love of humanity and Allah's perfect creation. That's what really matters."
