Counterspell and Briar Patch

This is my entry post for the Social Media Challenge organized by splinterlands.

This is the sentences form splinterlands' post. So I want to share this awesome battle with my friends.

Counterspell and Briar Patch

This battle is really crazy. Both rules have the ability to counter the Magic and Melee attack. Only ranged attacks will not be countered. First thing in my mind is healing. We need to survive longer in the battle like this. Another thing is add the salt to the wound so I decided to choose the monster with [Return Fire] ability. I will also need the monster with [Protect] ablity because I need Armor to withstand the counter damage of Thorns. And I wll also add a monster with [Opportunity] ability to finish the weakest off quickly.

Rule Set:

Counterspell - All Monsters have Magic Reflect ability.
Briar Patch - All Monsters haveThorns ability.

Fresh Golem

Fresh Golem has 10 [Health] and [Heal] ability. The damage come from [Magic Reflect] and [Thorns] will eventually killed my opponent's monsters so I only need to survive from this ordeal. I will also put [Armor] on Fresh Golem.

Screeching Vulture

I chose Screeching Vulture to finish off the monsters weaken by the counter attacks. This is a melee monster so I put it behind the Fresh Golem.

Centauri Mage

I am putting salt to his wound. I think that he will use ranged attack monsters mainly to avoid counter attack so Centauri Mage is a must have monster in this battle.

Wood Nymph

I put Wood Nymph in fourth position. I hope it will prolong Health of Fresh Golem and Centauri Mage. As their survivality increases the chance to win will be bigger.

QUEEN MYCELIA

I wanted my monster to don with Armor so I chose QUEEN MYCELIA in my team. It has [Protect] and [Amplify] abilities. [Amplify] ability is a godly ability in this battle of counter attack. It will provide +1 damage to every counter attacks.

Javelin Thrower

As for the last one I chose a ranged attack monster with [Piercing] ability. If my opponent thought like me he will also donned with Armor. So Armor Piercing is much needed in this case. If my opponent forget to add a monster with [Return Fire] I can get free hits.

Battle History

As you see my opponent is much stronger than me but Kane Hace will be dead in first ever attack. What is Kinjo doing in last position. It is not good to use a monster with [Taunt] ability in this kind of battle.

Kane Hace did not die because of [Reflection Shield]. but Dark Ha'on will die in this round.

All of his threats are almost gone. Haunted Spider alone can do nothing.

This is the last moment of the battle. Kane Hace is a powerful monster with [Blasat] ability but it can not shake my mind. Their defeat with the fall of Dark Ha'on.
