My fellow Tasteemers, for the Seafood Restaurant contest, I would like to introduce to you Man Fook Restaurant which is located at Donggongon Town.

Me and my family were actually being invited by my brother in law for dinner, to celebrate his birthday. That was about three weeks ago.

Honestly, I've never been to this restaurant as it looks like any other normal restaurant around this town, but I was totally wrong about this one.

My brother in-law has already made the order earlier, so we just came there for a feast. After making the order, it only took about 30 minutes before those foods are being served on our table, and it sure did surprise me a lot.

Who would have known that a normal average looking restaurant could serve something like this.

The appetizer came first which tasted so good. It's served cold, Octopus and Marinated Seaweed. I don't know how to describe the taste. It was sweet, and a bit sourish.

Then came the Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab coated with Salted Egg. It has an irresistible crispy, butterish taste.

The Fish Maw Soup came next in a huge bowl. The soup is actually a mixture of abalon mushroom, eggs, and fish maw. It is enough for 6 adults to savour, twice. It was really good.

The only dish that isn't seafood, the Wet Butter Chicken.

Last but not least, which is also the best dish of the night. The steamed fish in Nyonya Sauce is my all time favorite. I can't decipher how the taste is like, you just have to taste it yourself so that you'll know just how tasty this dish is.

Overall, it was a really good experience to be able to dine here which was really out of my expectations. This restaurant is so underrated if you look at it from the outside. Who would have guessed that this restaurant can offer this type of food worthy of a High Class Restaurant.

My Conclusion

The restaurant could do with a bit make over. A new fresh paint for the wall, a bit of decorations and better menu display will do the trick.
The staff is friendly and very attentive to the customer's needs.
Service is fast, in less than 45 minutes, all of our order arrived at our table.
This restaurant opens daily from 7.00am to 11.00pm daily.

Great restaurant with reasonable price. I think it is even cheaper than other seafood restaurants that I ever been.I recommend this restaurant highly.
