I love waterfalls, everyone loves waterfalls, because there is no reason to not love them. Whenever we´re near one we have to visit and explore it.
Australia is the perfect destination to see some of the most impressing waterfalls. All three photos today are from Australia.
Milla Milla Falls, Queensland
Who else remembers the Herbal Essence advert or that song from one hit wonder Peter Andre where they were swimming in a pool next to a gorgeous waterfall? That was filmed here at the Milla Milla Falls in northern Queensland, Australia.
This 18m drop waterfall near the charming town of Milla Milla is one of the most beautiful falls I´ve ever seen. Although the weather wasn´t really good when we were there it was still absolutely stunning.
The name Milla Milla* has its origin from a Aboriginal phrase MaMu that refers to a rainforest vine that is common in the area.
Wallaman Falls, Queensland
The Wallaman Falls, hidden in the Girringun-Nationalpark are by far the most impressive and loudest falls we´ve seen on our travels.
With a hight of 278m they are the biggest single-drop waterfalls within australia. There is permanently water running down, but when we were there it wasn´t that much. During the rainy season it must be absolutely crazy here.
We went down the track to the bottom of the falls which was a pretty hard walk, especially back up. It was totally worth it. During the walk down you will always have a prefect view on the falls. At the bottom near the pool you will get a nice refreshing from the mist og the dropping water.
Next to the pool it is that loud that you barely understand any word.
Twin Falls, Queensland
Within the Springbrook Nationalpark in the Gold Coast hinterland lays the Twin Falls waterfalls.
To reach them it´s a 4km return hike which is not to hard but could be dangerous when it is raining.
The special thing about these waterfalls is that there is a track behind the falls. If you´re walking behind the falls you will have a curtain of water in front of you which is a pretty cool experience. Be careful as it is very slippery.
