Hi there, internet folks! How are you doing? Today I want to share some memories with you from a time I went on a yacht trip with my bosses and friends. I work as a nanny, so I was looking after the baby; however—odd as it may seem—I was the one who actually needed looking after. You see, ever since I was little, I’ve been terrified of boats, speedboats, yachts, and any kind of watercraft. Well, actually, let me correct that: it’s not a phobia of the vehicles themselves, but of the sea—or rather, the depths. To be precise, this phobia is known as thalassophobia.
Hola Hola gente de internet ¿Cómo están? Hoy quiero compartir algunos recuerdos con ustedes, son de esa ocasión en que fui de paseo con mis jefes y amigos en un yate, yo soy niñera, así que estaba cuidando del bebé, pero aunque no lo parezca, yo parecía ser la que necesitaba cuidados pues siempre, desde chiquita he odiado los barcos, lanchas, yates y cualquier vehículo acuático, bueno, en realidad debo corregir, no es fobia a los vehículos como tal sino al mar mismo, a las profundidades, para ser más exacta, a esta fobia se le conoce como talasofobia.
Anyway, when it comes to work, there’s no getting around it, so I took the baby and went down to the cabin to try and relax. Once we were near the shore, there were no issues—no risk of the boat capsizing or going off course—so I felt at ease there; still, the rocking of the boat unsettled me. Even so, while I was on deck, I tried to enjoy the moment—especially the scenery—and put on a brave face, but the truth is... I found it pretty hard. The sky was overcast and threatening rain, but that didn't spoil the fun, haha.
Pero en fin, cuando se trata de trabajo ni modo, así que tomé al bebé y bajé al camarote para intentar relajarme, una vez estando en la playa no había problemas, ni riesgos de que se volcara la embarcación o de que perdiera el rumbo, así que allí yo estaba tranquila, sin embargo el vaivén de la embarcación me parecía inquietante, de todos modos mientras yo estaba en cubierta traté de disfrutar el momento, en especial de la naturaleza y poner buena cara pero la verdad es que… me costaba bastante. El cielo estaba nublado y amenazaba con lluvia pero eso no empaló la fiesta jeje
In any case, I really enjoyed the scenery; the beaches of our country, Venezuela, are among the best in the world, with that turquoise color so characteristic of the Caribbean Sea.
De todos modos yo sí que disfruté el paisaje, las playas de nuestro país, Venezuela, son de las mejores del mundo, con ese color turquesa tan característico del mar caribe.
