Hi there, internet friends! How are you all doing? Today I’m going to show you what my weekend was like working as a nanny. The baby I look after was invited to a birthday party out in the countryside. Since he’s still very little, he obviously couldn't run around and join in like the other kids, but that didn't stop him from having a great time; he loved watching the other children play soccer on the small field and splash around in the pool. He would squeal with excitement and clap his hands, which made me so happy.
¡Hola hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hoy les mostraré como estuvo mi fin de semana en mi trabajo como niñera, mi bebé (el que estoy cuidando) fue invitado una fiesta de cumpleaños en el campo, como es aún muy pequeño obviamente no puede correr y disfrutar como los otros niños pero eso no le impidió divertirse pues disfrutaba mirado a los otros niños que se divertían jugando un partido de futbol en la pequeña cancha, otros jugaban en la piscina, y mi bebé gritaba de emoción y aplaudía, lo cual me hacía muy feliz.
Afterwards, we went for a walk around the farm to breathe in the fresh country air. Since it had rained earlier, I was keeping a close eye on the path for two reasons: one, I didn't want to get mud all over my shoes (hehe), and two, I didn't want to run into any toads or frogs (since I can't stand them). Fortunately, I didn't encounter any of those—just plenty of grass and fruit trees. The baby was absolutely delighted, as it was his first time experiencing nature up close; his little eyes were taking in the whole landscape.
Luego fuimos a dar un recorrido por la finca para respirar el aire fresco del campo, debido a que había llovido previamente yo estaba muy atenta al camino por dos razones, una porque no quería llenarme los zapatos de barro jeje, y otra porque no deseaba encontrarme con algún sapo o rana (ya que los detesto) pero afortunadamente no encontré nada de eso en el camino pero si mucho pasto y árboles frutales, el bebé estaba loco de contento porque es la primera vez que tenía un contacto directo con tanta naturaleza, sus ojitos recorrían todo el paisaje.
I took the opportunity to reinforce what he has been learning in his early stimulation classes—where, among other things, babies are taught to distinguish between textures, colors, and so on—so I gathered some leaves, branches, and fruit for him to touch and feel. By the end, he was completely worn out; the poor little guy was exhausted, especially since we had attended another children's party that same morning (though that one was in the city). He is still too young to make friends, but he has already started socializing with other children in his early stimulation classes, so he doesn't feel overwhelmed when other kids approach him.
Aproveché la ocasión para reforzar el aprendizaje que él ha tenido en sus clases de estimulación temprana, onde entre otras cosas le enseñan a los bebés a diferenciar texturas, colores, etc, así que tomé algunas hojas, ramas y frutas para que él pudiera palparlos. Al final quedó rendido, estaba muy cansado el pobrecito y sobre todo porque esa mañana habíamos asistido a otra fiesta infantil (pero esa si fue en la ciudad) El aún es muy pequeño para hacer amigos pero ya ha empezado a socializar con otros niños en las clases de estimulación temprana, así que no se siente abrumado cuando otros niños lo abordan.
