Hi, internet folks – how’s it going? I wanted to share some of the photos I took one day at work, as most of them are of my favourite subject: the sky
Hola, gente de Internet ¿todo bien? Queria compartirles algunas de las fotos que hice un día en mi trabajo ya que son en su mayoría de mi tema favorito: El cielo
That day was a particularly difficult one. I was working as a nanny; my boss was having a painting session with her friends on the terrace of one of their flats, and I’d put the nappy bag on the spare chair, hoping they’d give me a chair, but there wasn’t one, and sitting in the tiny space left by the nappy bag was a thousand times worse – much more uncomfortable – so I spent that time standing there, fighting off thirst, because my boss’s friend had fetched a jug of water with exactly the right number of glasses for her friends. Carrying the weight of the baby and having had such a long day – from 8 am until around 7 pm – I was just wishing the day would end, but then I looked up at the sky and it looked particularly beautiful. And although, to tell the truth, I took some really good photos, the camera doesn’t do justice to how lovely it looked.
Ese día fue uno particularmente dificil, trabajaba de niñera, mi jefa tenía una actividad de pintura con sus amigas en la terraza del edificio de una de ellas, y en la silla sobrante puse la pañalera esperando que me pusieran una silla pero no la había y sentarme en el pequeño espacio que dejaba la pañalera era mil veces peor, más incómodo, asi que estuve ese tiempo de pie aguantando sed porque la amiga de mi jefa busco una jarra de agua con la cantidad exacta de vasos para sus amigas. Soportando el peso del bebé y toda la jornada que llevaba ese día, desde las 8 am hasta esa hora aprox las 7 pm deseando que mi jornada se acabara pero entonces miré el cielo y lucía particularmente hermoso y aunque a decir verdad hice muy buenas fotos, la cámara no hace justicia a lo bonito que se veía
I also took some urban photos, as there are buildings under construction in the background which really caught my eye, even though they looked rather eerie. I don’t know why, but sometimes I find that solitude and abandoned places hold a certain fascination for me, which is why I like to photograph places like that – such as the chimneys in Valencia.
También hicealgunas fotos urbanas ya que hay edificios detrás que estan en construcción y me llamaban poderosamente la atención a pesar de verse aterradores. No se porque pero a veces pienso que la soledad y los lugares abandonados me generan cierto interes, por tanto me gusta fotografiar lugares asi, como las chimeneas de Valencia
