Support the Arts Fundraiser [Help Me Prove Steem Can Be a Sustainable Source of Income For Non-Profits]
Hello friends!
So yesterday I told you that I would be launching an Indie-Go-Go for our non-profit!
Before I set that out for launch, I wanted to ask something of you.

As many of you know, I started a non-profit with my hubs 5 years ago. Since then, we have created 3 different choirs, written mini-musicals, comedy shorts, a screenplay, produced lots of high quality YouTube videos, made online arts tutorials and much, much more.

We have also been running in the red. For five years. We love what we do, but with my recent decline in health, we have had to make some tough decisions. Should we really continue to pursue our dreams of bringing the arts more online even if it continues to require sacrifice?
Well, yes. Haha.
Things aren't the most solid they have ever been on Steem. We are probably seeing one of the steepest declines in value yet, but I still believe in Steem and I think that non-profits could operate out of Steemit as self-sufficient entities. This has a two-fold benefit for Steem.
If non-profits invest money in Steem, it gains value, and if non-profits invest quality content in Steem, it gains value. It is a win-win.

As I stated above, we are going to be running a fiat fundraiser to try to buy as much Steem as we can.
Our goal is to get to 50,000 SP.
It is a lofty goal, but with the number crunching I have done, I am more confident than I have ever been that with strategic upvoting, networking and content creation, Our non profit: 
This isn't just a fun idea, but a necessary one. As many government programs, like the National Endowment for the Arts get the axe, if fine-arts non-profits can't find new places for support, they will go the way of the dinosaur. We NEED fine arts. We NEED these programs, and they NEED the Steem network.

All this being said, it's hard to get started. As small non-profit owners, we have dumped every penny we have into just operational costs. We don't have anything to invest at the moment. Studies show in most fundraising situations that confidence begets confidence. We would like to have at least some show of confidence in the amount our account is worth, and right now, it lacks (a lot) of love.
To be blunt, I am asking for your help.
If you could delegate any amount of SP to our non-profit account, or donate any SBD directly, that would be amazing! We will take anything you have to offer!
To sweeten the deal, if we reach our goal of 50,000 SP, hubs and I will write a mini-musical about Steemit and blast it on all our social networks. We will even boost it on Facebook to get it more visibility!

Every person who donates will also be included in the credits of our future projects, on top of given a shout-out in future vlogs/blogs!
We really want to see what Steem can do. We really want other people to see what Steem can do.
Think of this as a thought experiment, but one that will actually work.
The arts are so important to our society, and in not having to worry about constant fundraising, more non-profits can produce more quality content. It's a win-win for everyone.
