So this little journey actually started Sunday morning but it took me this long to post about it. I had to do some work in the mountains, so we decided to make an adventure out of it.
We had to head west on I-70 towards Aspen Colorado. It's about four hours away. He is a couple pics from the way up.

Found a cheap motel in Silt Colorado. I have no pics because there us not much a town to show. Here is the sunset.
We headed to dinner at a local restaurant. It wasn't to bad. I of course had a couple of margaritas and pork tacos.
This restaurant had local artwork up and I loved it.
This morning back to Aspen. Aspen is a place the rich and famous like to come and ski. I don't ever really go there. It is a bit fake for my liking, but there is some cool history there. Aspen is an old mining town that was founded about 1879. It boomed with the silver mining. Here is a few pics from there.
Basically Aspen is a small town with skiing in the winter and lots of expensive shops year round. We took a walk got expensive coffee and left for Independance pass. If you are ever out here ,check out independance pass. (Summer only). This is such beautiful scenery with breathtaking views. Every time I go up I see something different. One of my favorite things to see is the wild flowers. I love to see how many different colors I can see.

Look at that road. A lot of switchbacks. I am glad I am not driving. It really is a fantastic view.
This "fake" police officer parked along the road. Why does he need sunglasses. Why?????
This is TwinLakes close to Leadville.
Independents pass cuts from Aspen to Leadville. These pictures do not really even do it justice. We came home to Alaska playing with Luna. She loves to play with the kitty's if they let her. Lol

You can even see #davedickeyyall new flip flops in the pic. He ruined his other ones in the Segway crash of 2019.
