Buglab - Cybersecurity Penetration Testing on the Ethereum Blockchain
Buglab - Cybersecurity Penetration Testing on the Ethereum Blockchain
Buglab is a cybersecurity penetration test Blockchain based startup. This is based on the Ethereum platform and it connects the companies and organizations with the global cybersecurity experts and researchers. The ecosystem is based on two different functioning platforms: The Buglab leverages the ability of the Ethereum blockchain to allow attainable, versatile, and dependable penetration testing for digital enterprise options. There are two packages in the middle of the ecosystem – the Buglab Contest and Vigilante Protocol, serving to corporations all around the world to find and repair vulnerabilities.
How does it work?
The expert penetration researchers compete against each other in Buglab Contest protocol. Users provide their criteria in the Buglab platform and the expert pentesters compete against each other within a fixed time frame and make their submissions. To ensure full transparency and reliability, all the submissions are time stamped. At the end of the contest, the testers are rewarded accordingly with Buglab tokens. The clients receive a comprehensive report.
The vulnerability discoveries are shared by whitehats in the Vigilante Protocol and they get rewarded for their contribution. Buglab creates a network and connects with all the CERT and CSIRT partners and notifies them of their findings.
Buglab will work alongside all companies, IT sectors, financial institutions and retail marketplaces and offer its services to solve the problem. All transactions in Buglab are done through the Buglab token named BGL which is ERC20 compliant.
Buglab Features
- Buglab is far more economical than the traditional cyber security penetration methods and it is budget-friendly.
- A certified list of penetration testers’ work on the system and are ranked on the basis of their skills and discoveries.
- Clients can now choose testers on the basis of skills, score or country.
- Only related and unique submissions are accepted. Each and every submission go through a sorting system to avoid duplication before it could reach the client’s dashboard.
- The companies receive reports after the security contests are over. So they can understand the security status of their assets.
- Pentesters can challenge and ask Buglab if they are dissatisfied with their performance. Then the Buglab will answer to their queries and provide appropriate evaluation of the result.
- Clients can simply choose participants according to their requirements as the pentesters are ranked according to their experience, performance, and results on the dashboard.
BGL Token
The BGL token is based on ERC20 standard. All transactions within the ecosystem are done through this token. The token will allow organizations to “tip” penetration testers or other white hats on the platform.
Furthermore, tokens will be fully transferable according to the smart contract. Given the fact that the majority of penetration testers, as well as other white hats, don’t really like disclosing their finances to the public, the BGL token seems to be the perfect solution.
