I have always been in love with writing and at some point after school, i even started taking journalism classes. The problem is that even though i love writing, i am also a very practical thinker... and in my practical, yet creative mind, there was no place for the idea of trying to make a living out of writing! Afterall, you need an average paying job to have the average life, drive the average A or B class car, live in the average 2 to 3 bedroom townhouse in a security complex, barely get through the month with you and your husbands' average salaries, and start the cycle all over again at month end... In my mind there was nothing average about becoming a writer or journalist! It is just too much of an unsure way to try to make a living. Yes, some writers hit the jackpot when writing a book about a little boy with magical powers who goes to a special school for wizards, but some writers go their entire life without ever publishing a single book, and i was just not prepared to be the latter. For that reason, the journalism idea went out the window! "I could slways continue writing in spare time, couldn't I?" The answer is no you can't. Of course you can still take a pen and paper and start on a book, and yes I have started quite a few, but I have never finished a single one... Probably because I am to busy living the average life and I don't have the time to waist on my creative side, more likely because i just don't have the inspiration! You see, writing is an art, and any artist will tell you that without inspiration, no masterpiece can be produced. Starting is the easy part! You start with an idea, an idea that comes from anywhere, in the case of "Bioworld" (one of my many unfinished books) I dreamed about the storyline. I woke in the middle of the night, grabbed my laptop and started typing the intro paragraph so that I won't forget what it is about! I spent a few more days typing, very inspired, until I hit the proverbial wall... The idea started playing in my practical mind "what am I doing here? Spending all this time and energy on something that might never be read by anyone?" And naturally the inspiration drained away like water out of a zink... Bioworld is still lying on my laptop, unfinished, waiting to be revived, waiting to be read by anyone who will want to read it...
It is my vision to finish all my books and short stories, as well as my poems, here on this platform...availing them to anyone willing to spend the time to read them...
