Playing with markers is something I had not done ever. The idea was testing the whole qualities of this paper. It is supposed to be made for markers. And if shows as the ink does not bleed from one page to the one behind.
I saw the idea of making a sunset sky in a YouTube shorts and wanted to try it. It was hard a first since I had to choose how to work the gradient of colors. I saw it started with red at the top and ended in yellow at the bottom. So the logical choice for the middle was orange.
Then came all the testing of how to use use colors in sequence and blending then to create the effect of the several layers of colors one can see during a sunset. This just an easy one. Maybe I'll try some other color combinations to see what happens.
As the birds, I had to watch the same video several times to understand how to make their silhouettes. They are not perfect but they work fine. This is my first time doing some freehand drawing and colouring in ages. And it felt nice to try something like this once again.
