Estamos de vuelta en el #monomad challenge con algo de trabajo del taller. Hay tres cuatros por terminar que estaban esperando por mis ánimos para continuar. Ayer tomé uno y decidí colocar la fileteria y perfiles. Estos son unos adornos que van al borde la tapa armónica o fondo, o ambos.
Colocar esto implica abrir un canal y preparar unas tiras de madera que deber ser dobladas para tomar la forma del instrumento. Ya eso supone un problema de romper para cosas antes de conseguirlo. Pegarlos tampoco es fácil. Requiere mucha cinta adhesiva y algo para hacer presión. Pueder ser una cuerda o, en mi caso, tripas de bicicleta.
Luego de todo el problema de colocarlo, ver el resultado hace que todo valga la pena. Después de remover el exceso se puede ver la combinación de las maderas y su textura. Sé que no se puede apreciar por los filtros, pero créanme que se ve genial.

We are back ok the #monimad challenge with some worship duties. There are three Venezuelan Cuatros waiting for my mood to change and finish them. Yesterday, I took one up and decided to install the purflings and bindings. These are ornaments that go along the curve of the instrument on the border of the back or sound board, or both.
Getting these in place is quite challenging. It arises the need to of preparing strips of wood and veneers to make the actual things and carve a channel to place them. It's easy to break the strips while trying to bend them. Gluing then isn't a piece of cake either. It requires loads of tape and something to keep the pressure. It could be a rope or—in my case— inner tubes from bicycle's tires.
After sobving the installation issue, taking a look at the results makes the trouble worth it. When the excess is removed, looking at the strips of wood and their combination with the hues of the sound board is just amazing! Textures are easier to watch with the filter, but colours aren't. Trust me. It looks great!
