Hello there, black-and-white photography lovers!
The past two weeks have seen some developments towards a direction I had not considered for years. First, it comes by virtue of working out again, but do it as slowly as needed. Yes, that's a non sequitur, but my change in mood might have something to do with the whole deal. Then, comes my first poetry workshop. That was a surprise. However, after ten years of attending my first, going to meeting to talk about poetry and taking part in a literary group group, I think the path was set.
So, the workshop ended and people seemed to be happy to explore the depths of Haiku poetry and even wrote some pretty interesting ones that will be part of the very first collection of said style to be done inside the Museum House of the Poet Ramos Sucre. That's a pretty neat achievement.
The third thing is my new role as a Composition Teacher at an Academy in downtown. The offer is interesting. Teaching to write is a dream of mine. Plus, I have enough people to ask for advice and ideas to prepare the course. So, I'll be heading back to the classroom.
How did I celebrate these changes? Well, around the house there's always been talk about changing the color of my room. It had the blue and green paint for more than 20 years. So this change maybe is in tune with the rest of the things (yes, non sequitur, again). But for sure feels nice to have changes in environment, mood and professional path. Not only the changes, but the fact that they are leading somewhere.
And as my arms are sore today and my back hurts from the whole work of paint. I woke up today feeling my room was no longer a child's bedroom. Yes, the color helps a lot. It is supposed to be a kind of ivory hue. It looks very yellow.
