Today we will be talking about the second type of love which is Philia or Affectionate love. This is a kind of love that has to do with deep friendship. Philia could also be called brotherly love which represents a sincere and platonic love. It is a strong affection for someone which can make you go the extra mile just to make the person happy, just because seeing the person happy makes you happy too.
This is the type of love shared by siblings, parents and children and between best friends(since some friends have great bond of friendship even more than some siblings). This type of love has nothing to do with satisfying ones flesh but can be developed by Spouses over time, this bond can only be created if spouse make plans for the future, for example they have children and start planning for their children's future or if they find out that they have the same dreams and future plans. This type of bond can be used as a binding force between then when Eros wears off.
