Los labios, la boca, el sentido del gusto, todos se encuentran ubicados en el mismo lugar en el cuerpo pero no son lo mismo, cada uno cumple una función diferente con un propósito específico, permitiéndonos hablar, sentir, degustar, comer y por supuesto anatómicamente hacernos más atractivos. Sin embargo esta publicación no se trata de la anatomía del cuerpo sino sobre sobre mi trabajo de arte y lo que trasmite.
The lips, the mouth, the sense of taste, they are all located in the same place in the body but they are not the same, each one fulfills a different function with a specific purpose, allowing us to speak, feel, taste, eat, talk and of course anatomically make us more attractive. However this publication is not about the anatomy of the body but about my art work and what it conveys.
A veces algunas personas cuando ven mis trabajos de arte me preguntan ¿y qué significa? La mayoría de las veces respondo con otra pregunta ¿y tu que ves? Siempre he dicho que el significado de una pieza de arte depende del espectador, yo como artista tengo una visión de mi trabajo sin embargo quien observa mi trabajo puede crearse una visión muy distinta a la mía hecho que me resulta fascinante ya que es una muestra hermosa de la diversidad y la libertad de pensamiento.
Este trabajo en particular dice mucho y no dice nada, inicialmente empezó como una práctica para mejorar mis técnicas y al terminar los dientes me dije a mi misma ¿y ahora qué?¿puedo transformar esto en algo más?
Sometimes when people see my artwork they ask me what does it mean? Most of the time I answer with another question and what do you see? I have always said that the meaning of a piece of art depends on the viewer, I as an artist have a vision of my work however whoever observes my work can create a vision very different from mine which I find fascinating as it is a beautiful example of diversity and freedom of thought.
This particular work says a lot and says nothing, initially it started as a practice to improve my techniques and when I finished the teeth I said to myself, what now, can I transform this into something else?
