The other day I went down to the coast to try and get the milky way at a spot I had planned. The clouds were looking like they would clear according to the radars, but a small localised patch wouldn't budge, so I decided to head to my plan B shot.
It was cloudy there as well! So I went to McDonalds to get a frozen coke, by this time it was after midnight and I started to leave the town to drive home, when I noticed the cloud had cleared and I could get the backup location shot!
So after I turned around and got all set up, it was after 1am and I was able to capture this image.
The milky way was a bit lower than I wanted, but you can't do much about the clouds!
