Phew... after the crying drama of last night... where my oldest was crying her eyes out because she forgot to make something for Father's Day... we managed to have a drama free morning! Pancakes were cooked up (she made up the batter...), whilst the toddler and I were still asleep (I had gone into the screamer's room in the middle of the night to take my customary place on the floor...).
Whilst the pancakes were cooking, the oldest dawdled around a bit watching some cartoons... however, when we started to talk to my wife's parents over Skype... she finally got her idea!
She made a little treasure hunt for me... all through the house, with clues hidden in every single room (plus some false clues as a "joke"....). Anyway, there was a map... and a very loose story of the Seven Sisters... not really sure how it tied in to everything....
Anyway, after finding about 10 clues I finally stumbled onto my Father's Day gift from my oldest girl... A box full of goodies! I love it!... it is going to find a special place next to my gaming computer, so that I have a bit of a sugar hit when I need it!
I also picked up a nice contraption for folding suits for when they need to go into a suitcase... as soon as I figure out the instructions, it should be an improvement on my just cram everything in technique! Also, a hand-made kazoo from the younger one... I'm not entirely sure how to play it! I guess that has much to do with my lack of kazoo technique as much as the actual instrument itself!
