What it means to give rest:
To release from hard labour and servitude into a life of rewarding result. “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
End of affliction, oppression, sorrow and calamity. “And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve”(Isaiah 14:3).
Victory over all enemies and adversaries. “But now the LORD my God bath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil Occurrent” (1 Kings 5:4).
End of all wars and battles. “…and the land had rest from war” (Joshua 14:15).
Beloved, bondage is real. Rise up and seek God in prayer in order to break free from all affliction and oppression of Satan.
