Greetings friends artisans and Hivediy community, it is a pleasure to greet you wishing you have an excellent and blessed weekend together with your loved ones, continuing with the elaboration of Christmas ornaments this time I share the development of a pendant that can be placed on doors, windows and also on the tree if we add a cord on the back; regularly the Christmas crafts and ornaments are made with fabric, but this time I wanted to vary a little using foami, is a project that we are doing in the course of cutting and sewing, some colleagues have already done it in fabric and it was beautiful, I found it interesting to do it in foami because I can use frosted foami and give a different style to this project, within the Christmas ornaments I have very few made in foami, so I plan to make several with this practical and noble material that offers a wide range of colors, different textures and spectacular prints.
Saludos amigos artesanos y comunidad Hivediy,es un placer saludarles deseando tengan un excelente y bendecido fin de semana en uni贸n de sus seres queridos, continuando con elaboraci贸n de los adornos navide帽os en esta ocasi贸n comparto la elaboraci贸n de un colgante que podemos colocar en las puertas, ventanas y tambi茅n en el 谩rbol si agregamos un cord贸n en la parte trasera; regularmente las manualidades y adornos navide帽os los elaboro con tela, pero en esta oportunidad quise variar un poco usando foami, es un proyecto que estamos realizando en el curso de corte y costura, algunas compa帽eras ya lo han hecho en tela y qued贸 hermoso, me pareci贸 interesante hacerlo en foami porque puedo usar foami escarchado y darle un estilo diferente a este proyecto, dentro de los adornos navide帽os tengo muy pocos hecho en foami, por ello tengo pensado hacer varios con este pr谩ctico y noble material que ofrece una amplia gama de colores, diferentes texturas y espectaculares estampados.

The first step to make this project was to mark the pieces of the Santa; the hat, hat ornament, face, beard and mustache, to mark it I used a height stick which allows a neat cut and does not leave ink marks on the foami, as it usually happens when using pencils.

El primer paso para hacer este proyecto fue marcar las piezas del Santa; el gorro, adorno del gorro, cara, barba y el bigote, para marcarlo utilic茅 un palillo de altura el cual permite un corte prolijo y no deja marcas de tinta en el foami, como suele suceder al usar l谩pices.
Then I cut several leaves in green and gold foami, as well as several small red circles, which will be used to decorate the hat.
Luego cort茅 varias hojas en foami verde y dorado, tambi茅n varios c铆rculos peque帽os en color rojo, los cuales servir谩n para decorar el gorro.
Once the pieces were cut, I assembled the hat, adding the leaves and red circles to the lower part of the hat (green piece), then I attached it to the red piece.
Cortadas la piezas ensambl茅 el gorro, para ello agregu茅 las hojas y c铆rculos rojos en la parte inferior del gorro (pieza color verde), luego lo un铆 a la pieza de color rojo.
Assembled the cap, the next step was to join the face to the beard, I placed silicone dot on both ends and carefully glued the beard to the face.
Ensamblado el gorro, el siguiente paso fue unir la cara a la barba, coloqu茅 punto de silic贸n en ambos extremos y con mucho cuidado pegu茅.
Then I attached the mustache to the beard and glued on the nose, using a pink button to highlight the Santa's nose.
Luego un铆 el bigote a la barba y pegu茅 la nariz, para ello us茅 un bot贸n color rosa que resalta la nariz de santa.
To finish I glued the hat on the head so that the ends and the hat ornament match; with the help of a black marker I painted the eyes, so with these simple steps is finished a beautiful Santa to decorate the house this Christmas season, which by the way is very close.
