So I've been sick for a few days and I assumed it was because of the weather. However, yesterday, I had to do extra five hours, despite feeling like shit because my colleague called in sick.
It turns out my colleague has been hit with a case of the COVID virus. It turns out the virus is still a thing these days and with vaccines and all that in place, there's no need for lockdown.
Anyway, the thing is that I was the last person to work with my said colleague that got hit by COVID. So, from last week to today, I've exhibited some of the symptoms of COVID.
I still have my sense of smell and taste but I know COVID is supposed to make you feel like shit and that's how I feel. I also just recently recovered from the flu, so I didn't think it'd be back so soon. So, again, bringing me back to COVID.
Anyway, I did the rest and it turns out I don't have COVID. I was gutted, somewhat. I figured that if this was COVID, then I'd already powered through the first week but my company would have still needed to give me an extended paid sick leave.
Anyway, I'm COVID free and just feel like shit because of the weather. I'm feeling better than yesterday but not yet whole. I'll be fine soon.
