The roadways are almost always entire clear, and the Interstate system is one of the best in the country. If you’re forty miles from Disney World, you can be there in a little over half an hour. Grab some season passes and go crazy!

Florida is one of the best states to raise a child. If you’re in central Florida, you have access to Kennedy Space Center, Disney World, as well as Universal Orlando. Busch Gardens and Sea World are on the Gulf coast, while various nationally-renowned museums speckle the land. There is also diverse culture in Florida, be it in Key West, Miami, or one of the state’s fantastic college towns.

The Arts in Florida?

Believe it or not, Florida is home to some fantastic art. Snowbirds, humidity, and alligators, oh my!

Yes, there is a heavy snowbird population in Florida. Alligators really do inhabit most of the state’s lakes. And the humidity can, at times, be stifling. That said, nowhere is perfect. The snowbirds come and go and rarely affect life. In fact, it’s nice to see people come and go throughout the year. It’s a nice reminder that you live somewhere enviable!

There are many alligators in Florida, but that shouldn’t keep you from jumping into a warm lake on a hot summer day! Simply be aware of your surroundings. And yes, the humidity is everywhere. Rain can come and go at the drop of a hat, so don’t move to Florida if you’re uncomfortable driving in rain. Most Florida inhabitants don’t think twice about it, so don’t expect traffic to slow to a crawl or even seem to acknowledge the rainfall. The Floridians are trained professionals in this area!
